General Information

Beware of poison oak around the property! Come see us at the check-in booth for pictures if you aren’t familiar with what it looks like.
No motorcycles or off-road vehicles allowed.

Early Arrival - Please do not arrive before 2 pm as our Grounds Crew needs time to prepare your site. There is a $50 fee for early arrival if your site is available. If it is not ready, you will be asked to leave and return at the correct time (there is no room to park and wait for your site to be ready).
Late Check Out - If you would like a late check out, please talk to the Reservation Check-in Booth staff to see if an accommodation can be made. Otherwise, you may be subject to a $100 fine if you do not vacate by 12:00 pm on the day of your departure. If you do not vacate your site by 2 pm, you may be subject to overnight fees in addition to the late check out fee.

Yes! We allow dogs on leashes, and we have two dog parks where they can play off leash! There is a $5 daily fee for dogs. Please note that dogs are not allowed in most permanent structure sites (Cottages, Ranch Wagons, Cabins, etc.)

Yes! The Moscow General Store is well-stocked with nearly everything you might need during your stay, including firewood, ice, propane and camping basics.

Yes! We have unlocked WiFi throughout the campground to keep you connected (if you want)! Check out our Wifi Terms & Conditions.

Yes, we allow and encourage campfires (unless a county or state burn ban is in effect) - there’s no better place to tell stories!
Each site is equipped with a fire pit (please, do not remove them - there are fines for damage or removal!).

Yes, our General Store sells both! Please, no wood gathering! We want to preserve the beauty of nature!
Firewood and kindling are for sale in the General Store; there's no charge for delivery to your site! (No wood gathering allowed.) Please do not deface, cut, or clear trees and shrubs; do not fasten anything to the trees.

Yes! Propane is available during General Store hours. Just bring your tank to the General Store, and our Grounds Crew will help you get it filled.

If hauling a trailer or driving an RV, use the directions below (your GPS may take you on a more narrow, winding route)!
Directions From Hwy 101 near Santa Rosa, CA
On the northside of Santa Rosa, take exit 494 (the River Road Exit) west to the Russian River Resort Areas and Guerneville (approx. 18 miles).
From Guerneville, continue straight (West) onto Hwy 116 to Duncans Mills (another 8 miles).
Turn left onto Moscow Road, cross the bridge over the river and continue to the campground entrance (3/4 mile).
Directions From Pacific Coast Hwy 1
South of Jenner, take Hwy 116 east toward the Russian River Resort Areas.
Continue upriver 4 miles to Duncans Mills.
Turn right onto Moscow Road, cross the bridge over the river and continue to the campground entrance (3/4 mile).

Coverage depends on your carrier. AT&T generally works well throughout the campground, while Verizon service can be spotty, and other carriers may vary. If staying connected is important, we offer WiFi as well. See “Is there WiFi?” above for details.

Our showers and laundry facilities are coin-operated, and there are change machines on-site, so you don’t need to bring a roll of quarters.

No problem! If you have a reservation, we’ll leave a packet with your name and directions to your site at the check-in booth. Head to your site and settle in, then stop by the booth the next morning to complete your registration.
If you don’t have a reservation, scan the QR code posted at the check-in booth to see available sites and book on the spot.

Yes. Most of our RV and tent sites are listed as ADA accessible. Most cottages and cabins are not, with the exception of Cabin 85, which is ADA accessible. Accessibility is noted for each site when you book online, or call our reservation desk at (800) 451-8400 for help finding the right site.

Yes to both! We have two RV dump stations in the park, free for guests. Prefer not to move your rig? Our Honey Wagon service will come to your site and pump your tanks. Order ahead at the General Store for the best price.
We also have four EV charging stations on-site.

Yes! The historic village of Duncans Mills, just next door, has restaurants, cafés, shops and a wine shop. See the Duncans Mills village website for current listings.
For camping basics like ice, firewood and snacks, stop by our General Store.
Larger grocery stores are about 17 minutes away in Guerneville.

The historic Moscow Barn is a wonderful setting for weddings, reunions, retreats and other gatherings, with plenty of ways for your guests to stay right here at the campground. To check availability and plan your event, email us at groups@casiniranch.com or visit our Groups page.

Cancellation terms depend on your site type. Your arrival day doesn’t count when counting days in advance.
Tent and RV sites: Cancel 8 or more days before arrival for a refund minus a $28.50 cancellation fee. Within 7 days of arrival, reservations are non-refundable.
Cabins and Canvas Tent: Cancel 15 or more days before arrival for a refund minus a $28.50 cancellation fee. Within 14 days of arrival, reservations are non-refundable.
Ranch Wagons, Cottages and Ranch House: Cancel 30 or more days before arrival for a refund minus a $28.50 cancellation fee. Within 29 days of arrival, reservations are non-refundable.
Mini Group sites: Cancel 30 or more days before arrival for a refund minus a $50 + tax service charge. Within 29 days, the deposit is non-refundable.
Group sites: Cancel 30 or more days before arrival for a refund minus a $75 + tax service charge. Within 29 days, the deposit is non-refundable.
Non-refundable means the full reservation amount, including taxes and booking fees, is forfeited. There are no refunds after check-in.
Need to change your dates instead? We offer a one-time reschedule (date, site, etc.) for $15 + tax in place of the cancellation fee, as long as it’s done before your non-refundable window begins.

We open reservations twice a year, up to about 18 months ahead:
On November 1, we open bookings for the winter season (November through April) a year and a half out. For example, on November 1, 2026, reservations open through April 30, 2028.
On May 1, we open bookings for the summer season (May through October) a year and a half out. For example, on May 1, 2027, reservations open through October 31, 2028.
Summer weekends and holidays fill quickly, so we recommend booking as soon as your dates open.

Maximums vary by site type. Some individual sites differ, so please confirm the occupancy for your specific site when booking.
RV sites: Up to 8 people (maximum 5 adults) on most sites. Most RV sites fit 2 vehicles.
Standard tent sites: Up to 8 people (maximum 5 adults) and 2 vehicles.
Value tent sites: Up to 6 people (maximum 4 adults).
Cottages: Up to 8 people (maximum 5 adults) on most cottages.
Cabins: Sleep up to 5 inside. Most cabin sites allow up to 8 people (maximum 5 adults) with tents.
Ranch Wagons: Sleep up to 4 inside. The site fits one extra tent, for up to 8 people (maximum 5 adults).
Canvas Tent: Up to 6 people (maximum 4 adults).
Mini Group sites: 15 to 20 people, depending on the site.
Large Group sites: Up to 40 people (maximum 24 adults).
What’s included in the rate: RV sites, tent sites, cabins, ranch wagons and the canvas tent include 2 adults and 2 children; cottages include 4 people; Mini Group sites include 12; Large Group sites include 24. Additional guests can be added for a fee, up to the site maximum.
Kids stay free through age 7. Children ages 3–7 are free but count toward your site’s occupancy; children 2 and under are free and don’t count toward occupancy.

Yes! When you book, you can add a site lock to guarantee the exact site you’ve chosen. The site lock fee ranges from $10 to $50 depending on the site, and you’ll see the exact fee when you select your site online. Without a site lock, your reservation is for the site type you booked, and we may move you to a different site of the same type to accommodate other reservations.

Some of our sites are pull-through - you can call to ensure you’re booking a pull-through site if this is a requirement for you!
Activities & Amenities

During the summer (mid-June to mid-August) we have daily activities;
in the spring and fall (May 1 to mid-June and mid-August to October 31) we have activities on the weekends only.
Activities include hay rides, movie nights, dance parties, ice cream social, family field games, crafts, beach bonfires, and more!

Yes, we have bikes, pedal carts, kayaks, canoes, golf carts, and sports equipment available for rent!

We don’t have a pool, but we have something better: a mile of Russian River frontage right in the campground! Guests can relax on the river beach, wade and swim, fish, or paddle the river in a kayak or canoe from our rental shop. The best swimming season is typically May through October, when the water is warmer and flows are calmer. There are no lifeguards on duty, so please swim at your own risk, keep a close eye on children, and wear life jackets, especially for kids and less confident swimmers.

Yes! With a mile of Russian River frontage, fishing is a favorite pastime here. Anglers 16 and older need a valid California fishing license, available online from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. From September 1 through April 30, the Russian River is subject to low-flow fishing restrictions and may close when water levels are low. Check the current status on the CDFW Low-Flow Fishing page before you cast. You can also sign up there for status update notifications.

Casini Ranch is just minutes from the coast and some of Sonoma County’s favorite spots. Approximate drive times from the campground:
Jenner, where the Russian River meets the Pacific: about 10 minutes
Sonoma Coast beaches: about 12–15 minutes
Guerneville: about 17 minutes
Bodega Bay: about 25 minutes

Absolutely! Guests are welcome to bring their own kayaks, canoes and paddleboards, and our on-site boat launch gives you easy access to the Russian River. Don’t have your own? Kayaks are available to rent here at the campground.

Day visitors are only allowed if they don’t cause you to exceed the maximum site capacity. All visitor vehicles must be in overflow parking.
There is a $7 charge per person for day use visitors. Pet fees apply. Any visitors staying past dusk will be charged overnight fees.

NO gas-powered recreational vehicles (other than your truck/passenger vehicle or RV) allowed - this means no ATVs, UTVs, etc. are allowed.
Electric golf carts are allowed, but must be operated by a sober, licensed driver 21+ years old.
We also have golf carts for rent at the campground!

Smoking is not allowed in any common area buildings, such as the General Store and restrooms, or inside any rental accommodation. Please be considerate of your neighbors when smoking at your site.
Cannabis use is not allowed in public view or in any way that disturbs your neighbors.
Alcohol is permitted for guests 21 and older.

We allow quiet generators only. Generator hours are 8:00AM - 10:00AM / 12:00PM - 1:00PM / 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Please be considerate of your neighbors.

Quiet hours: 10pm to 8am.
We are serious about our quiet hours to ensure that everyone can get a good night sleep and be well-rested for a day of adventuring!
During the day, please keep your music/noise contained to your site; if your neighbors can hear it, it’s too loud.

Thanks to the proximity of the ocean, we enjoy warm but more temperate summer temperatures than inland locations. It can be breezy!
In the fall, the winds die down making early fall an ideal time to camp.
Our winters can be rainy, but we still welcome campers!

Yes! With a mile of riverfront, swimming is one of our guests’ favorite things to do. The best swimming season is typically May through October, when the water is warmer and flows are calmer. Before heading in, check current river levels on the National Weather Service river forecast for Guerneville and the latest water quality results on Sonoma County’s Fresh Water Quality page, which tests Russian River beaches weekly from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There are no lifeguards on duty, so please swim at your own risk and keep a close eye on children in and near the water.
