Generations of Casini Family History

Casini Ranch has deep roots in the Russian River Valley, with the Casini family living on this land for six generations and owning it for three. It all began in 1881 when Bartolomeo and Anastasia Casini settled in the Duncans Mills area. Their son, Paul Anthony Casini, managed the dairy ranch on what is now Casini Ranch before gradually purchasing the land from the La Franchi family between 1928 and 1932.

For decades, visitors to the area would stop by, hoping to access the river for fishing, and Paul Anthony or his son George would welcome them in. Seeing the growing interest in the land’s natural beauty, George Casini transformed the property into Casini Ranch Family Campground in 1965.

Today, the campground remains in the Casini family, with George’s son, Paul Casini, serving as chairman and continuing the legacy of hospitality and outdoor adventure that has defined Casini Ranch for generations.
